The 3rd Shenzhong MIT-InvenTeam Kicks Off

The 3rd Shenzhong MIT-InvenTeam holds its kick-off meeting today when 6 student groups, instructive teachers and MIT alumni mentors gather on the Shenzhen Middle School campus. 6 groups present their 35 ideas and designs which cover areas from everyday furniture like multiple functional tables, adaptable bookcases, to some high technologies like energy converting devices. Teachers and alumni mentors share their comments and opinions with these young talents.

At kick-off meeting, the Director of International Curriculum, Mrs. Gao Qing, has given her speech and nice wishes to all the members. Operational issues like criteria and procedure on idea screening have been addressed. The next step plan for November 10, the voting date, has been discussed. The good news is there will be more mentors from industries like Tencent, Huawei, Mindray, will be invited when evaluating ideas and designs. Another exciting progress is the Shenzhong MIT-InvenTeam will soon has its own Laboratory with advanced equipments and instruments.

As alumni mentors, Mr. Kent Xu and Mr. Zhenwei Zhao have attended the meeting. Their presence show their constant support and enthusiasm for this program. On the other hand, they enjoy good time communicating and interacting with group of young talents with fresh ideas and vibrating thinking.
